Supporting Others with Access Aligned

Access Aligned allows PAs, carers, support workers, parents, guardians, and companions to create a support account and help manage the access needs of the people they support at live events.

Whether you support one person or several, you can connect to their profiles and help coordinate access requirements — without needing separate logins for every event.

Early Access Testing Phase

Access Aligned is currently in an early testing and development phase. While many core features have been designed, some areas of the platform are still being built, refined, and tested. During this phase, you may notice changes to features, layouts, wording, or functionality as I learn from real-world use.

By joining during the testing phase, you will have the opportunity to help shape the future of the platform through your feedback and experiences. My aim is to build Access Aligned alongside the people who will use it, ensuring it reflects the realities of disabled people, carers, support workers, artists, crew members, and event attendees.

Accessibility is not something that can be perfected in isolation. Your feedback will play an important role in helping me improve the platform over time.

Who Can Use a Support Account

A support account is designed for anyone who helps another person manage their access needs at events. This includes:

  • Personal Assistants (PAs)
  • Carers and support workers
  • Parents and guardians
  • Companions and essential supporters
  • Anyone who regularly attends events in a support capacity

You do not need to be a professional carer. If you help someone attend events, a support account may be useful for you.

What You Can Do

Once you have created a support account, you can:

  • Send a connection request to the people you support
  • Help coordinate access requests when attending events together
  • Plan group trips for multiple people in one place
  • Submit access requests on behalf of the people you support, once they have authorised the connection
  • Manage access arrangements for multiple people from a single account

Access always requires the consent of the person being supported. They can accept or decline your connection request, and they can remove your access at any time.

Your Own Access Needs

You may also have your own access requirements. A support account includes the option to create your own access profile, separate from the profiles of the people you support.

Your profile and the profiles of those you support are kept entirely separate unless sharing has been specifically authorised. You are in control of what you choose to share.

Managing Multiple People

A single support account can be connected to more than one person. This is particularly useful for:

  • Professional PAs who support several clients
  • Carers responsible for more than one family member
  • Support workers attending group events with multiple people

When planning a group trip, you can select which people you are attending with and submit a combined access request to the event organiser.

Privacy and Sharing

The privacy of the people you support is protected by design. You can only see information that they have explicitly chosen to share with you. The people you support can:

  • Accept or decline your connection request
  • Choose what information you can see
  • Remove your access at any time

Access Aligned does not share any personal information with third parties without consent. Your data and the data of those you support are kept separate and secure.

Creating Your Account

To get started, create a free account and select "Support holder" as your account type. You will be guided through setting up your support profile and sending your first connection request.

The person you support will receive an email invitation and can accept or decline the connection from their attendee account.
